VIRGINIA WINS ANOTHER CLOSE ONE, PACKERS BACK IN ACTION TODAY

The Virginia Cavaliers pulled out another close one yesterday knocking off the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 17-16 when Wake missed a 47 as time expired, the kick had the distance but it was off to the right. The Cavs played well at time and not so well at other times, they didn't score again in the 3rd period again and still have only scored 5 points the entire year in the 3rd quarter. Next week the Cavs will travel to Miami to play the Hurricanes. The East Carolina Pirates defeated Memphis yesterday 56-40 in another defensive showdown, there sure doesn't seem like they play allot of defense in CUSA. The Georgia Bulldogs also won yesterday 44-34 over Troy. The Green Bay Packers will be in Kansas City today to play the Chiefs, the PACK need to win to stay ahead of the Lions, the Redskins play the New York Jets today. The Richmond Renegades won again last night in Fayetteville beating the FireAntz in OT 3-2, the Gades are back at home next Friday and Saturday nights when the Columbus Cottonmouths visit the RC. Carl Edwards won the Busch Series championship yesterday at Texas while Kevin Harvick won the race, the Nextel Cup Series will race at Texas today. I have posted some photos from the OBX of the damage Hurricane Noel caused as it passed just east of the OBX. MICKEY
