SOUP IS ON, RENEGADES WIN AGAIN

Well I making some of my FAMOUS SOUP this morning and if anyone would like some it should be ready between 10:30am an 11:00am. It will be on a first come first serve bases and you must bring a container to put it in if you want any. If anyone wants some call or e-mail me. The Richmond Renegades won again last night on the road in Knoxville 5-4 in OT, the Gades are now 3-0 on the road this year and will play in Fayetteville on Thanksgiving before returning home Friday and Saturday night. In high school football action the Central Region last night 3 of the 4 top seeds lost, the scores are posted to the right. Next week Patrick Henry will be at Hanover and Hermitage will be at Meadowbrook. In college football today both Virginia and East Carolina are off, Virginia is resting up for next weeks game with Virginia Tech with a trip to the championship on the line. I have posted some college football games of interest on my scoreboard to the right. Jimmy Johnson continued his hot streak by capturing the pole at Homestead, I am going out on a limb and saying Jimmy Johnson will be your 2007 Nascar Nextel Cup champ. Also today fellow blogger A.G. will be working the Pittsburgh at Rutgers game. MICKEY

Health Tip: Avoid Holiday Overeating

It's especially easy to overeat during the holiday season.
Here are suggestions on how to avoid overindulging in food, courtesy of the U.S. Department of Agriculture:

* Eat just an appetizer for your meal, as portion sizes usually are smaller than entrees.
* If you order an entrée at a restaurant or are served a meal at someone's home, try splitting the portion with someone else.
* When you get your meal, immediately set aside half of it to take home and eat later.
* Don't feel like you have to eat everything in front of you -- when you start to get full, stop.
