HAS EVERYBODY STARTED THE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING YET

Well today is November 1 and Christmas is just a month away and I bet there are several bloggers who haven't even started there Christmas shopping yet. I would say I am about 65% finished my shopping but I do still have ways to go. I didn't stay around for to many of the trick or treaters last night, I went up to the JV football game where the Colonials fell to Petersburg 34-0. Tonight the Colonial Heights volleyball team will play Thomas Dale in the CD championship game, the Knights have not lost a game all year and the Colonials have only lost but both were to the Knights. It will be a very tough task for the Colonials. There another big ACC football game tonight when Virginia Tech travels down to Scott's state and Atlanta to play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, it looks like every game for Miami, Virginia and Virginia Tech the rest of the year will be big games. It looks like today is going to be another very mild day here in CH with temperatures in the low to to mid 70's before it cools off a bit the next few days. MICKEY

We can learn nothing except by going from the known to the unknown.

Health Tip: Stick to Your Exercise Program
Exercise shouldn't be thought of only as a way to lose weight. It should be a regular part of your routine, designed to maintain your long-term health.

Harvard Medical School offers these suggestions to help you create an exercise routine and stick with it:

* Pick activities and workouts that you enjoy. Don't limit yourself to just one machine or one type of exercise.
* Plan a schedule that works for you, and always make time for even a little exercise each day.
* Set realistic goals. Decide how much you want to do at first, then increase the frequency and/or duration of your workouts.
* Record your progress. Monitoring how much you've improved will help motivate you.
* Reward yourself for sticking to your routine and meeting your goals.
