IT'S GOING TO BE A RAINY DAY, VIRGINIA IMPROVES TO 2-0

It might not be raining right now but you better take your umbrella to to work you, there is a 100% chance of rain today and it's going to be turning much colder this afternoon. The high temp for today will occur early this morning and then the temperatures will fall into the 40's by this afternoon. The Virginia Cavalier basketball team improved to 2-0 on young season with a 92-53 win over Howard, the Cavs next game will be a much stiffer challenge when the travle to play Arizona on Saturday. The Richmond Renegades will be back in action tonight on the road when they play the Knoxville Ice Bears, the Gades will not be back at home until next Friday night. I understand the fellow blogger Mark and Mary have been a bit under the weather this week, I hope the are feeling better now. MICKEY

• Today is National Sing in Your Car Day.

1492: In history's first written reference to a new discovery, Christopher Columbus made notes in his journal about the use by New World Indians of tobacco.
1926: The National Broadcasting Company debuted on 24 U.S. radio stations. The first broadcast was a four-hour "NBC Spectacular."
1969: Merle Haggard's "Okie from Muskogee" hit #1 on the country music charts. Merle and his band wrote the song in 20 minutes aboard their tour bus after seeing a roadsign that said, "Muskogee 19 miles."
1992: Richard Petty drove in the final auto race of his 35-year career.
2005: The town council voted in Clark, Texas, north of Dallas-Fort Worth, to change the community's name to DISH. In return the town would get 56 satellite dishes - one for each home and another for town hall - as EchoStar Communications hooked up every home in DISH to the Dish Network satellite TV system, worth an estimated $4,500 each. The deal would last ten years.

Fitness Tip
Every hour long television program contains approximately six commercial breaks that last 3 minutes each, so you can use that time to get in some extra abdominal exercises (on non-consecutive days, of course!) without missing a scene.

Know it is possible
Knowing that something is possible is a significant step toward achieving it. As soon as you know, without a doubt, that you can achieve it, in many ways you immediately begin to benefit from it.

Of course achievement requires more than just knowing you can do it. You must actually take the steps which will make it happen. However, those efforts come much more readily when you know that they will surely lead where you desire to go.

Look at all the things others have achieved. Consider everything you have already accomplished. Know that what you desire is possible. Convince yourself of it. See yourself living it in every detail. Fully and sincerely expect it, and you're well on the way to having it.
