A VERY LONG DAY

I have to say I remember why I quit playing softball after yesterdays long day. The day didn't get off to the best starts when the tournament director was late getting there and he had the baseballs for the tournament in his car so game 1 was delayed for about 15 minutes. We lost game one of the day 13-2 and the bad thing about that game is that we had the same amount of hits the other team had 6, we just made quite a few more errors and a few to many walks. We won game 2 of the day 9-4 and we only had 5 hits in that game. We play again this morning at 9am and will play again at either 1pm or 3pm depending on whether we win or lose. The fields weren't in the best condition either, I don't think they had done anything to those fields since the last time I was there and I almost forgot to mention it was very hot. We ate lunch at a place called Cheddar's in Newport News & I have to say it was pretty good and very reasonably priced. Ron Fellows won yesterdays rain shortened Nationwide Series race in Montreal, they rain part of the race on rain tires before the rains become to heavy. Well I have to go get on the treadmill for an early morning 5:45am run. MICKEY

Eat Breakfast, I HAD A KIT KAT THIS MORNING

You've heard it before: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Many people skip breakfast because they don't have time or they don't like traditional breakfast foods. But if you wait until lunch to eat, your body assumes you're fasting and responds by slowing your metabolism. If you're pressed for time, try eating something quick like cereal, peanut butter on toast, or cottage cheese and fruit. And remember, if you eat breakfast, you have a greater chance of burning off calories (during a run, for instance!) since you're consuming them early in the day.

Milk as an additive to coffee became popular in the 1680's, when a French physician recommended that cafe au lait be used for medicinal purposes.
