LEGION TOURNAMENT ENDS TODAY IN CH

The Mid-Atlantic American Legion Regional baseball tournament will come to end today in Colonial Heights with South Richmond meeting Edison, New Jersey in the finals. Edison will have to beat South Richmond twice to advance to the World Series. Edison beat Boyertown 12-5 yesterday while South Richmond beat Scotia, New York 14-8. I think South Richmond win and advance to the World Series. Carl Edwards won yesterdays Nascar race at Michigan holding off Kyle Busch for the win, it was kind a ho hum race yesterday. Kyle Busch now leads Carl Edwards by 222 points in point standings, Denny Hamlin holds down the final spot for the race for the chase with David Ragan & Clint Boyer just 26 points behind Hamlin. Fellow blogger Keith will be heading to Huntsville, Alabama today for a little government work while Lee has arrived at VCU and will be blogging from there while at college and Andrew is at the beach. The track of TS Fay is still a bit uncertain and your blog master will continue this developing situation. MICKEY

Success
Success is a personal standard - reaching for the highest that is in us - becoming all that we can be.

AN AMAZING FACT
The wettest spot in the world is located on the island of Kauai. Mt. Waialeale
consistently records rainfall at the rate of nearly 500 inches per year.

Accelerate with care
Jack-rabbit starts are an obvious fuel-waster -- but that doesn't mean you should crawl away from every light. If you drive an automatic, accelerate moderately so the transmission can shift up into the higher gears. Stick-shifters should shift early to keep the revs down, but don't lug the engine -- downshift if you need to accelerate. Keep an eye well down the road for potential slowdowns. If you accelerate to speed then have to brake right away, that's wasted fuel.

Andrew holds the record for rowing and 110 hurdles.I agree Scott, Dusty would make a good javelin catcher.

I think dads records are tainted because I haven't played the Wii Olympics yet.
