REDSKINS WIN AGAIN, PHILLIES ONE WIN AWAY FROM WINNING THE WORLD SERIES

The Washington Redskins beat the Detroit Lions 25-17 yesterday and with the win improve 6-2 on the season, next week the Skins will be at home against the Steelers. The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Tampa Bay Rays last night 10-2 and now are just one win away from winning the 2008 World Series, the Rays are just not hitting at all right now. Carl Edwards won yesterdays Sprint Cup race in Atlanta and Jimmie Johnson came in 2nd extending his points lead to 183 points over Edwards & 185 over Greg Biffle, with just three races left it looks like Jimmie Johnson will win the championship again. There are going to be some very cold nights here in Colonial Heights starting tonight when the temperature drops down to around freezing & the next two nights it is suppose to be below freezing before the temp starts to moderate some by the end of the week. My PAIN index is up this morning just because it is Monday and because my sinuses are bothering me. A fellow blogger sent me this photo of a Georgia fire alarm, maybe Scott can confirm this. Does anybody know if MARK still reads the blog. MICKEY

AN AMAZING FACT
One 75-watt light bulb gives off more light than three 25-watt light bulbs.

Patience
Patience saves you money. Patience saves time, reduces stress, and improves your relationships.

With patience, you have the ability to achieve things that are simply not possible without it. Using patience, you can more fully understand and be understood.

Looking at life with patience, you can uncover and experience rich treasures that you otherwise never would have known about. Living with patience, you develop the persistence to create great and valuable things.

Patience does not mean sitting back and doing nothing. On the contrary, patience means always doing the very best you can do, while understanding that the results you seek will not come immediately.

Patience is the acknowledgement that the quality of life is much more important than the quantity of things with which you fill it. Patience is the willingness to accept what is, for right now, while putting all you have into creating the best that can be.

Make the most of the many opportunities life provides for you to practice patience. With patience is your life fully and richly lived.
