In my professional opinion - the ref had a bet on the game and he had to make sure the quarterback did not get in the end zone. That was a pretty good hit!
It didn't look like a accident to me.
i think his old school football days came back to him and he did what was natural to him back in the day!
i think he should've wrapped him up. its like that Buffalo Wild Wings commercial where the ref trips the guy that is running to the end zone.
He's probably a baseball umpire in the spring.
I'm with Lee he called into BWW and the crowd was not ready to go home so he made the hit to prolong the game.
