CAVALIERS WIN 4TH STRAIGHTGAME, GADES LOSE, PHILLIES WIN

The Virginia Cavaliers won there 4th straight game yesterday beating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 24-17 in Atlanta. With the win the and Virginia Tech's loss to Florida State the Cavaliers are now in 1st place by themselves atop the Coastal Division of the ACC, and Virginia's only loss in the ACC came to Duke, who would have ever thought it. Next week the Cavaliers return home to face the Miami Hurricanes. In the World Series last night the Phillies beat the Rays 5-4 to take a 2-1 lead in the series, they will play game 4 tonight in Philadelphia. The Richmond Renegades blew a 3-1 lead last night at the Richmond Coliseum allowing the Fayetteville FireAntz to 5 unanswered goals en route to 6-3 victory over the Gades. I think in think in the 1st 2 games of the season that the Gades have missed about 10 wide open nets, they can't hit the broad side of a barn when the nets open. The Gades will be back at home on Halloween night. The Nascar Sprint Cup Series will be at the Atlanta Motor Speedway this afternoon, a good run by Jimmie Johnson could just about wrap the championship. I almost forgot to mention the NFL, the Redskins are on the road at Detroit today while the Packers are off today. I have posted a link below to a pretty interesting story that AL sent me about a high school football player in Wausau, Wisconsin. Have a nice day. MICKEY

Winners keep on winning
Staying on top is often more challenging than getting there in the first place.

There's an awesome responsibility, challenge and vulnerability in being the leader. It is a position which must be handled with confidence, and a certain amount of humility.

Just because you're a winner today, doesn't mean you're set for life. Just because you've accomplished great things, doesn't make you immune from failure. Enjoy the victory, bask in the glory, and then find an even bigger challenge. Take your vision to a new level, and see things that have never been seen before.

There's no point in winning, if you let it make you complacent. See every achievement as a stepping stone to even greater things. Catch your breath, and then get back in the race while your momentum is still strong. When you become the leader, the challenge has just begun. Rise to that challenge, and the possibilities are extraordinary.
