VIRGINIA STAYS ALIVE, RED WINGS 1 WIN AWAY

The Virginia Cavalier baseball team stayed alive yesterday in the NCAA baseball tournament with an 8-2 win over Rider, the Cavaliers will play Cal State Fullerton tonight at 7pm with the winner advancing to play UCLA at 11pm. Also yesterday East Carolina stayed alive with a 9-0 win over Columbia, Georgia beat Louisville 9-8 to stay alive and James Madison outscored UNC Charlotte 13-12. In the Stanley Cup Finals last night Detroit beat Pittsburgh 2-1 to take a 3-1 lead in the series, the Penguins offense just couldn't seem to get on track last night. Denny Hamlin won yesterdays Nationwide race at Dover continuing Joe Gibb's Racing domination of that series, it seems there Gibb's cars and everybody else's. Well if you haven't checked you calendar today is the 1st day of June, it won't be long now before schools out here in CH, it's already out in Georgia. My finger is still very sore but it look like it is healing pretty good, it is pretty bruised though. This past week I ran 35 miles the most since I started keeping my training log, I think the reason for that was that Monday was a holiday so I got an extra training session in. I think a normal week has me running anywhere from 25 to 30 miles a week. MICKEY
