A TOUGH NIGHT IN APPOMATTOX LEAGUE ACTION

It was a tough night in Appomattox League action last night for Colonial Heights at Prince George, PG beat Colonial Heights 9-5 in the 1st game and 10-5 in the 2nd game. We sure had our chance in the 1st game but left the bases loaded a couple of times in the game, the 2nd game was a different story. I told you yesterday that this team will be a work in progress. In the CWS yesterday Miami eliminated Florida State 7-5 and Georgia beat Stanford 4-3 and now will be off for a couple of days. Today UNC will face Fresno State in a winners bracket game and Rice will face LSU in the losers bracket. Tonight here in CH the temperature is going to fall back into the upper 50's, it's going feel pretty cool in the morning. I have posted link below to all the photos AL took during Colonial Heights High Schools graduation last week. My PAIN index remains in th 7's after I had a baseball hit me in the face while warming up the pitcher between innings, the ball hit the mit and then struck me on the cheek. Also I forgot to mention yesterday that fellow blogger Keith is out of town doing some government work in New Jersey this week. MICKEY

Leadership consists not in degrees of technique but in traits of character; it requires moral rather than athletic or intellectual effort, and it imposes on both leader and follower alike the burdens of self-restraint. ~ Lewis H. Lapham

Nuts help keep blood sugar steady because they're rich in monounsaturated fat. Fat slows the digestion process, so glucose enters the bloodstream more gradually. Reader's Digest
