VIRGINIA ELIMINATED, KYLE BUSCH WINS AGAIN

The Virginia Cavalier baseball team was eliminated from the NCAA baseball tournament yesterday 4-1 by Cale State Fullerton, it was a pretty good year for the Cavs but they need to recruit some more offense, the pitchers seem to be good enough to win. Also yesterday East Carolina and James Madison were eliminated but Georgia stayed alive and will play Georgia Tech today with the winner advancing to the super regional. Kyle Busch won his 4th race of the season at Dover yesterday holding off a distant Carl Edwards for the top spot, he also extended his points lead to 142 over Jeff Burton and 27 over Dale Earnhardt Jr. I think I might be becoming a Kyle Busch fan. Well the Detroit Red Wings can wrap up the Stanley Cup with a victory tonight over Pittsburgh at home, if the Penguins offense doesn't play better tonight they have no shot a beating the Red Wings tonight. My PAIN index remains elevated because my allergies are really bothering me and I was scared half to death when fellow blogger Les comes up behind be while I was running on Conduit Road and blasts his car horn startling unsuspecting me. Speaking of running, even though I put 6 miles in yesterday between the treadmill and running outside, I felt terrible doing so. It was one of those days that I just couldn't find any rhythm. MICKEY

EXERCISE TIP Good flexibility in the joints can help prevent injuries through all stages of life. If you want to improve your flexibility, try activities that lengthen the muscles such as swimming or basic stretching.

HEALTHY EATING TIP Many fruits and vegetables are high in water, which provides volume but not calories. Grapefruit, for example, is about 90 percent water and has just 39 calories in a half-fruit serving. Carrots are about 88 percent water and have only 52 calories in 1 cup. Mayo Clinic

Scott, did your Dad have his surgery today? Talked to your Mom at dance recital when she was in Va. and thought today was the day for his surgery. Hope things went well.
