COLONIAL HEIGHTS PICKS UP 2 BIG WINS, FRESNO STATE WINS CWS

The Colonial Heights entry in the Appomattox League picked up two big wins against 1st place Deep Run last night. It looked like we had a totally different team last night than we did the 1st six game of the year, I think we had more hits last night than we did in all of our 1st six games combined. The scores of last nights games were 7-5 in 6 innings and 11-4 in the 2nd game. The story of the night was our pitching though a very crafty 13 year old left hander, on the night he threw 8 1/3 innings picking up a win and a no decision throwing a total of 105 pitches. He really should have won both games. In the CWS last night the Fresno State Bulldogs beat Georgia 6-1, Fresno was a #4 in seed in there region and got into the playoffs by winning the conference tournament, they finished the season with a 47-31 record. Fresno State got hot at the right time and rode there momentum to the CWS championship. Speaking of hot it is suppose to be around 100 today here in CH before dropping back into the mid 90's the next two days. Try to stay cool today, MICKEY

Getting Sand Off Your Feet
With the summer here I thought this would be good to share, to remove any dry or wet sand, put baby powder on sandy feet or legs and wipe with towel. Your feet and legs will come clean and you'll smell nice and fresh.

Imagine it
Imagine that you're full of energy and enthusiasm, excited and positive about the day ahead. Imagine that you're highly effective, able to achieve whatever you set out to do with confidence and ease.

In your mind's eye, see yourself working with discipline and focus, quickly and easily making the decisions that move your world forward. Visualize yourself as always knowing what to say and do in every situation.

Imagine yourself being the person you've always wanted to be. Imagine living the life you've always dreamed of living.

See it all in rich and colorful detail. Allow yourself to dream, and know, with absolute certainty, that you can have it, you can do it and you can be it.

Make your image of yourself and your life a positive one, and you'll program yourself for real, sustained success. Imagine yourself at your very best, and hold that image firmly in your mind, day after day, moment by moment.

What you're able to imagine, you're able to create and experience. Dare to imagine, and then put your precious time to good use by bringing your imagination to life.
