ORIOLES GIVE UP 30 RUNS IN ONE GAME

On a day the Baltimore Orioles extended the contract of manager Dave Tremblay the Orioles gave up 30 runs in one game the most in Major League Baseball history in 110 years in 30-3 loss to the Texas Rangers. It was the most runs since the Chicago Colts beat Lousville 36-7 in a NL game in 1897. The Rangers had only scored a total of 28 runs in there last nine games, the Orioles just had a bad day at the office. My AIP is on the rise a bit today because my left shin is a bit sore & my right hip is acting a bit. The put a new glass door up on the house yesterday and painted the other door, they are hoping to put the rest of the floor down the either today or tomorrow. They have ordered the trusses for the new room & and they should be in sometime next week. Also I will probably be trying out the new stove in the next day or so when they head back to the beach, I will either be making spaghetti or hamburgers, I have decided yet. MICKEY

1902 - Fannie Merrit Farmer opened her cooking school, Miss Farmer’s School of Cookery, in Boston, MA. Ms. Farmer was the leading cooking authority of her day. Known as the ‘mother of measurements’, she revolutionized food preparation throughout the world with her introduction of precise measurements -- the level teaspoon, tablespoon, cup, etc. And, in 1919, candy maker Frank O’Connor paid Fannie the ultimate compliment by naming his now famous company, Fanny Farmer Candy Shops.
1904 - Harry D. Weed of New York state patented the grip-tread tire chain for automobiles. On those snowy, winter mornings in New York, et al, you can still hear those tire chains as cars ride by. Some still prefer the chains to today’s snow-tread tires.
1936 - Bob Feller made his pitching debut with the Cleveland Indians. Feller struck out 15 St. Louis Browns in his first outing. Three weeks later, he tied the American League record by striking out 17 Philadelphia Athletics.
1986 - Darrell Waltrip became the first racecar driver to earn $7 million in a racing career.

A home gym can remake your body and save money -- if you know how to use it. For home exercise programs to succeed, you need to treat a room in your home like your own private health club. When you enter the room you have entered the gym. Be sure to establish a training time that you will stick to, and keep all other activities OUT of the room.

It could have been worse if the Rangers hadn't missed some of their extra points.
