CH ADVANCES TO BIB CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

The Colonial Height Optimist baseball team defeated the CBC Nationals last night 4-3 and by doing so advance to the finals of the 50th anniversary of the BIB baseball tournament where they will play the Tidewater Diamonds. The Diamonds defeated the CBC Americans 6-2 in the other semi-final game. CH lead the game 4-0 before CBC mounted a comeback in the final two innings and left base loaded to end the game, fellow blogger Les was also at the game. The weather is much cooler this morning here in CH and the humidity appears to have dropped as well, the high is only suppose to be 89 today. Fellow blogger Glenn (Trapper) is heading down to the OBX for the week today and will be staying in Tina's house for the week, so it appears dad will have answer all the riddles this week. Qualifying for this weeks Nascar stop at Watkins Glen was rained out yesterday so they will line up on points which means Jeff Gordon will start on the front row with Denny Hamlin. If I didn't know any better I would have thought the construction crew has gone on strike, I haven't seen anybody since Monday. MICKEY

The Power of Consequence
Everything you do has consequences. Whether that is a blessing or a curse depends, quite simply, on what you do. You're not some feather that is randomly tossed about by the wind. You have direct control over your own fate, based on the actions you take.

If your actions had no consequences, you would have no power or influence. Those consequences do indeed impose the heavy burden of responsibility. Yet that is far better than the burden of utter helplessness.

The considerable power you have to influence your world is in those consequences. You take action, and there is a result. That dynamic is neither positive or negative, neither good nor bad in itself. It is completely and totally what you make of it.

Understand and appreciate all the implications of your consequences, and you have the power to go wherever you wish.
