HURRICANE DEAN MAY MISS THE UNITED STATES

It looks like Hurricane Dean may miss the United States if is stays on it's current track. The good news for the US is not good for Mexico which looks like where Dean is heading, right now Dean is CAT 4 Hurricane and it looks like it will make landfall as a CAT 3 or 4 storm. However as the weatherman always says the storms are unpredictable. Since we had the storm here in CH on Thursday night the mosquitoes have been on the warpath, I have killed several in the house but several have also bitten me in the house as well. I don't even want to open the door because I think the mosquitoes are lurking on the front porch. Speaking of insects we have giant water bug in the downstairs bathroom who has been eluding for the last few days, he must be 2 inches long and inch wide, as soon as turn the light on he runs under the little dresser in there and he gets there pretty quick. Denny Hamlin won yesterdays Busch Race at Michigan yesterday and I have to say it was pretty boring race, hopefully there will be a little more action in the Nextel Cup race today. There were 363 visitors to Mickey's Place this past week from 7 different countries & Wednesday 65 people visited which is the most since I started tracking using Google Analytics. We also have a fellow blogger with a birthday on Monday stay tuned to see who it is. MICKEY

Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

ANOTHER SLEEP TIP
Don't eat or drink large amounts before bedtime. Eat a light dinner about two hours before sleeping. If you're prone to heartburn, avoid spicy or fatty foods, which can make your heartburn flare and prevent a restful sleep. Also, limit how much you drink before bed. Too much liquid can cause you to wake up repeatedly during the night for trips to the bathroom.

donohue died while driving for roger penske. he hit a billboard in a normal looking wreck but the billborad caught him on the head. he got out the car the emergency crew got there and he was talking and telling them he was fine just had a headache but he'd be ok. he died later that night! this was one of the first racing accidents that brought attention to closed head injuries in racing!!!
