IT DIDN'T MAKE 100 HERE IN CH YESTERDAY

After all the hype about it going 100 yesterday it only made it to 99 but the heat index it felt like it was 105. Well we have another shot of hitting the century mark today, some of the weatherman are saying it could reach 102 today with a heat index around 110. Don't get me wrong it was hot just not as hot they said it was going to be. I did run three miles at the high school yesterday afternoon around the ball fields, I figured it would be a bit cooler on the grass than the asphalt. I went by Me Ma Ruth's house last night and the house smelt like a fish market because she had salmon cakes for supper, it smelt terrible in there and she said could smell anything. The CH Optimist team will play Staunton in the 2nd round of the BIB tonight, last night CBC American and the Tidewater Nationals picked up victories. In a bit of a peace offering Robby Gordon will let Marcos Ambrose drive a 2nd car out of Robby Gordon Motorsports in the Nextel Cup race this weekend at Watkins Glen, Ambrose is the driver Gordon knocked out of the way after not being in the proper position on the restart. There were 46 visitors yesterday on Mickey's Place, well I am off to work in the heat. MICKEY

Well, I was able to keep Momma down for one day - she did stay around the house yesterday a little, and I cut the grass. Today - she is on a day trip with senior's group - they went to NC to Dolly Parton's brother's theatre. The cardiologist said she could go so off she went.

You did all you could. I can't believe she went out of the state. We are a hardy bunch. I'm glad you cut the grass. It is so hot
