The Virginia Cavalier baseball team appear to be on a mission in this years NCAA baseball tournament, last night the Cavaliers beat Cal Irvine for a 2nd straight day this time 4-1. In the 3 games in the regional the Cavs pitching staff only allowed a total of 2 runs, with the aluminum bat that stat is pretty amazing. The Cavs will play the winner of tonight Ole Miss vs Western Kentucky game in a super regional which would be held next weekend. The East Carolina Pirates stayed alive in the tournament as well with a pair of wins yesterday beating Binghamton 16-9 and South Carolina 8-6, the Pirates will play South Carolina again tonight with the winner advancing to the super regional against UNC next week. The Detroit Red Wings beat the Pittsburgh Penguins last night 3-1 to take a 2-0 series lead in the Stanley Cup Finals, things are not looking to good for the Penguins right now. Jimmie Johnson won yesterdays race at Dover holding off Tony Stewart for the win, next week the series heads to Pocono. My PAIN index has gone down a little bit more after a good nights sleep. MICKEY
