A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP

After not sleeping very well at all on Sunday night I am happy to report that I got a good nights sleep last night, I slept like a rock. After a hard day of work yesterday I came home to find that our internet and phone service were both down and had been so since 9am yesterday before being restored around 5pm, dad had talked to Verizon earlier in the day and they said that it could be 24 hours before it was restored but they did it much faster. Andrews Little League team will be back in action tonight in playoffs, Andrews team must win or there season will come to an end. Texas beat TCU last night 5-2 becoming the final team in this years College World Series. The Stanley Cup Finals resume tonight in Pittsburgh with the Red Wings leading the Penguins 3-2 so the Pens must win tonight or they will be on the golf course tomorrow. There is also a pretty good chance of rain this afternoon and tonight which could put a damper on outdoor activities later today. MICKEY

KEEPING FOOD FRESH LONGER, BUTTER
Store butter in its original packaging inside the refrigerator compartment (not inside the door). Butter can also be frozen for up to six months.

CHEESE
Remove cheese from its original packaging. Then, rewrap it in a piece of plastic wrap or wax paper, and seal it inside a plastic bag.

Enthusiastic attitude
Stop fighting against what you have to do. Turn it into what you want to do.

For any given task, you can be miserable and plodding or you can be enthusiastic and highly effective. It all depends on your attitude.

Instead of dreading and avoiding something that you must get done, choose to look forward to it. Then jump in, make it happen, and get it finished once and for all.

It's really very easy to make a change in your attitude. You can do it without lifting a finger.

With a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward whatever task you must complete, the work will go more quickly and smoothly. And, you'll feel a whole lot better while doing it.

Decide that you truly want to get it done. And soon you'll be reaping the rewards of your effective effort.

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, most sunscreens are effective for more than just a year. In fact, most bottles of sunscreen have an expiration date stamped on them -- usually about three years. You may need to look closely at your bottle -- sometimes the expiration date is written in very small print.
