NEXT WEEK AT THIS TIME I WILL BE ON VACATION, CWS FINALS SET

Well next week at this time I will be on the Outer Banks along with several other bloggers on vacation and believe me I am ready to go. I know that the Georgia contingent is also ready to go as well as Al but I can't speak for the rest of the people who are going. Well the finals for the College Baseball World Series are now set after yesterdays action, LSU beat Arkansas 14-5 and Texas hit 2 HR's in the bottom of the 9th inning to stun Arizona State 4-3. The best of 3 series between Texas and Arizona State starts on Monday. Brain Vickers captured the pole for the 2nd straight week on the Nascar Sprint Cup Series at Sonoma edging out Kyle Busch for the top spot, Marcos Ambrose will start 3rd. It is going to be a very hot day and humid day here in CH today with a high of 96 expected with heat indexes over 100, it is a very warm 76 degrees here in CH at 7am. I have to say that the donuts at Wal-Mart this morning were the best ones that they have had in at least a month, the consistency the last few weeks has been lacking. MICKEY

SOME HEALTHY FOOD TIPS
Shop for lean meats and don't forget the fish. The omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in ocean fish are often deficient in our diets, so serve seafood two or three times per week. Baked fish and chicken are healthier than fried, and lean meats like bison or venison may be healthier than higher fat beef.

Processed lunch meats, hot dogs, bacon, and sausages have a lot of saturated fat and nitrates in them you don't want in your body. If you love these meats, you can find healthier versions sold at health food stores.

Remember to eat a variety of foods to get all of the vitamins and minerals you need to be healthy.

Stick to water, milk and 100% fruit and vegetable juices as your main beverages and limit sugary soft drinks. If you get tired of plain water, add a slice of lemon or lime to add a touch of flavor. For kids, try some fruit juice jazzed up with carbonated water.

Go with the flow
Stop making life so difficult and stop being so uptight. Let yourself go with the flow.

It doesn't mean you must give up on any of your goals or compromise your values. Simply find a way to live those values and to move toward those goals within the context of what's already happening.

Listen to your intuition. Instead of endlessly analyzing and strategizing, go with what you feel is right.

Have the confidence to know that you can successfully handle whatever may come along. Truly enjoy the experience of being alive and immersed in the wonder of it all.

Accept that there are things you simply cannot know right now. Act peacefully, purposefully and intelligently on what you do know.

It will be all right. For within the constant, wondrous flow of life is all you need to make it so.
