VIRGINIA BACK IN ACTION TODAY, ITS FRIDAY AGAIN

The Virginia Cavalier baseball team returns to the field against Mississippi today in the start of a best of 3 series with winner advancing to the College Baseball World Series. It's a good thing that the are not playing at UVA because they wouldn't not be able to play today because of all the rain. Today's game starts at 2pm and can be seen on ESPN2. The East Carolina vs North Carolina series doesn't not start till tomorrow. Andrew is suppose to have Little League playoff game tonight at 8pm but I think that is very doubtful. The Pittsburgh Penguins evened up there best of 7 series with Detroit last night with a 4-2 win over the Red Wings at 2 games a piece, they will play game 5 tomorrow in Detroit. Well it is Friday and I don't even care if it is raining, it looks like some nice weather will return of Saturday. The Nascar Sprint Cup Series will be at Pocono this weekend, maybe JR can come out of his slump because he usually runs pretty good at Pocono. It's a good thing graduation ceremonies are going to be held next Friday instead of tonight, if it was tonight I think they would have to move it indoors. MICKEY

Get Enough Rest
Adequate rest is a largely ignored component of most athlete's training programs. But more evidence is supporting the idea that it's the quality, not the quantity of your training that will have the largest impact on your performance. In fact, there are some many problems related to overtraining, that it actually has becomes a condition. It's called overtraining syndrome and it's an athlete's enemy because it saps not only your energy for your sports, but it robs you of your passion and enthusiasm for your sport as well. Remember that adding appropriate rest and recovery days into your training is critical for success.
