WELL WE MADE IT TO CAPE HATTERAS

Well we made it down to Cape Hatteras yesterday to see the lighthouse and it was a pretty pleasant drive down there. Once arriving we were all ready to climb to the top of the lighthouse and we all had to dish out $7 for the honor. I am glad to say we all made it to the top but it was a bit of struggle for some. After making to the top we took a few pictures and I have posted a couple of them we had to leave the top of lighthouse only after being up there for few minutes because the park ranger spotted some lightning in the distance. I feel sorry for some of the people who came there and didn't get to climb to the top. After getting back from Hatteras Al, Donna, Julianne, Scott, Joy, Scottie and Dusty all went jet skiing, I sat this trip out. They seemed to have a pretty good time but they sure were complaining allot about how sore they were. Last night for dinner we did have some of Bobby's Famous Burnt Burgers and yes there was a luck dog but no one is sure who got it, I have to say it looked like everybody got plenty to eat and didn't go away hungry. Well I am ready to return to the beach today after sitting out the last two days, it appears that the weather has cooled off a bit since we got a little rain last night which should make for a good beach day. Keith sure must be working hard this week since he hasn't had muck to say. Yes, I still do have water in my ear. MICKEY

Never face facts; if you do, you'll never get up in the morning.

HEALTH TIP
Bananas vs. High Blood Pressure
Boosting your potassium intake, as well as your calcium, while limiting the amount of processed food you eat goes a long way in regulating high blood pressure. Bananas, beans, tofu and potatoes are all rich sources of potassium. Bonus blood-pressure control tip: Maintain a healthy diet, with at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.
