PACKERS WILL BE AT HOME NEXT WEEK

The Green Bay Packers will be at home next for the NFC championship game on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field against th New York Giants. The NY Giants beat the Dallas Cowboys 21-17 in Dallas yesterday, with the loss the Cowboys lost 3 of there last 4 and are finished for the season. In yesterdays other game the San Diego Chargers upset the Indianapolis Colts 28-24, with the win the Chargers will travel to New England next week to play the Patriots in next weeks AFC championship game. The Virginia Cavaliers were blown out again yesterday, this time it was the Duke Blue Devils who beat the Cavs 87-65. The Cavs next game will be at home against Virginia Tech on Wednesday. It has also come to my attention that there is a fellow blogger who still has there Christmas Icicle Lights still up on there house, I will not mention any names but I think this blogger knows who they are. My AIP is still about the same. MICKEY

Honesty is the best policy. If I lose mine honor, I lose myself.
William Shakespeare

1882 - A country club named The Country Club became the first country club in the United States -- in Brookline, MA. Of course, playing golf in mid-January in New England didn’t work out, so hunters went out to pick off the wildlife right off the fairways.
1914 - Henry Ford announced the newest advance in assembly line production of cars. The new continuous motion method reduced assembly time of a car from 12½ hours to 93 minutes.
1932
- Horse racing legend Eddie Arcaro won his first race. The jockey was riding Eagle Bird for the victory. The result was official. Cash in your winning tickets at the nearest window. Thank you.
1941 - Paul Brown, then head football coach of Massillon High School, was named head coach of Ohio State’s Buckeyes. In seven years of high school competition, coach Brown’s Massillon High team lost only one game.
1954 - Marilyn Monroe married baseball great, Joe DiMaggio. The marriage lasted nine months. After her death (in 1962), DiMaggio had red roses delivered to her crypt two to three times a week for some twenty years.
1972
- Comedian Redd Foxx, whose last name was really Sanford, debuted on NBC-TV in Sanford & Son. Demond Wilson starred as Fred Sanford’s son. Quincy Jones composed the catchy theme song.
1978 - Actress Marie Blake died. She was 81 years old. Blake is probably best known for playing Blossom Rock, Grandmamma, in The Addams Family TV series.
1990
- The Fox network’s animated show The Simpsons premiered. “D’oh!”

Your actions
Whether something is possible or impossible for you depends more on what you do about it than on any other factor. Your persistent, focused action is what brings possibilities to life.

Certainly there are obstacles that stand in your way. And you can choose to use those obstacles as excuses for not taking action.

Or, you can choose to get up, get motivated and get busy working your way toward the results you seek. Once you begin to take action, the obstacles lose their power to stop you and instead become steps along the pathway to achievement.

The actions necessary for success can often seem to be difficult, complicated, inconvenient, embarrassing, uncomfortable, tiresome or demeaning. Realize that those undesirable qualities are, for the most part, mere inventions of your mind, and your choice to take action will override them every time.

When you know what you must do, then go ahead and make it happen. Stop focusing on the excuses and start moving toward real, valuable achievement.

Your actions have the power to change your life and to change your world. Make full use of them, and fulfill your greatest dreams.
