The East Carolina Pirates dominated every aspect of the game in beating West Virginia 24-3 yesterday at East Carolina. The ECU defense pretty much controlled the vaunted West Virginia offense and the Pirate offense just wore down the West Virginia defense. In all the years that I have been going down to ECU it has never been as loud as it was yesterday, I have to say ECU looked pretty darn good. Next week East Carolina will travel to Tulane. The UVA football team picked up a 16-0 win over Richmond yesterday and from what I understand the offense looked pretty bad for a 2nd straight week, the Cavs just don't have QB. Georgia continued to roll yesterday beating Central Michigan 56-17, next week Georgia travels to South Carolina. I have updated our college football contest standings to the right, it looks like me & Scottie could go to work in Las Vegas with the way we are picking the games. The NFL really kicks of today, I will be flipping back in forth between all the games but I will be keeping a very close eye of Brett Favre and the NY Jets. Also between watching all the NFL games I will be keeping up with whats going on over at Richmond International Raceways where they will be running a double header with Cup race at 1pm to be followed by the Nationwide race at 7pm tonight. Hanna has moved out of the area but not before bringing some more much needed rain, now all the forecasters have there eye on Hurricane Ike. MICKEY
