NO BASEBALL LAST NIGHT

Our Appomattox League baseball game scheduled with Manchester was postponed last night until Friday night believe it or not due to poor field conditions at Shepherd Stadium. Apparently they were working on the lip of the infield over the weekend and the area they were working was still extremely soft yesterday and mad the field unplayable. I am glad this situation didn't take place during our high school season because I know someone who would have been extremely mad if he had to postpone a game for this reason. Also in the news Takeru "Tsunami" Kobayashi, who has won six straight Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contests, suffered a serious jaw injury while training for the July 4 event. The Japanese eating legend was diagnosed with jaw arthritis and can barely open his mouth which means we will likely have a new champion this year. A celebrity in Japan and America Kobayashi still holds world records in many eating competitions, including hamburgers, bratwurst sausages, lobster rolls, cows' brains and rice balls. I guess you can tell it's a slow day on Mickey's Place, it won't be long now until vacation starts. MICKEY

I'm not smart, but I like to observe. Millions saw the apple fall, but Newton was the one who asked why.

If the "Tsunami" is injured, I'm going w/ the "Black Widow" to capture the title.
