RENEGADES WIN AGAIN, PACKERS TRY TO SALVAGE SEASON

The Richmond Renegades won there 5th straight game last night defeating the Columbus Cottonmouths 4-3 on a shootout.  Things didn't look good for the Gades when they were trailing 3-1 lat in the 2nd period but the Gades scored just before the period ended to make it 3-2 and were able to tie the game late in the 3rd and win it in the shootout.  The new Gades goalie looked very good and dad was voted goal judge of the game.  The Gades will go for there 6th straight win on Wednesday night when Fayetteville comes to town.  In college football action yesterday the East Carolina Pirates won the CUSA Championship game 27-24, it look like the Pirates will now face kentucky in the Liberty Bowl.  In the I-AA playoffs the Richmond Spiders beat Appy State 33-13 and James Madison beat Villanova 31-27, both teams will play in the semi finals next week. In the NFL today the Packers will try to salvage some of there season today when the Houston Texans visit Green Bay, I have to say I don't have much confidence in this team, there seems to be something missing.  The Redskins visit Baltimore tonight, the Skins playoff chances are very slim and could be extinguished tonight.  In high school football action yesterday Dinwiddie fell to Phoebus 37-13 state championship game.  In high school basketball action yesterday the CH boys team beat Bishop Sullivan 50-28 while the girls team lost to Midlothian 43-32.  The VCU Rams won the CAA opener last night 66-50 over William & Mary.  I will update the Mickey's Place college football pick em contest later this morning.  MICKEY

"Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you depending on how you respond to them." ~ Rick Warren

Listen carefully to others. Courtesy means good communication - develop the habit of keeping each other informed of where you are and what you are doing.

DID YOU KNOW
Teflon is the slipperiest substance in the world.

Choose your life
What is the difference between a life of joy and accomplishment, and a life of despair? What is the difference between a day spent effectively, and a day of idleness? What is the difference between positive direction and certainty, and just drifting along?
The difference comes from making choices. Look around you. The things that make up your world are the result of choices. The house where you live, your job, the size of your bank account, your family, the car you drive, the books on your shelf. All choices.

You can choose the life you want. Not in one single momentous choice, but in the little choices you make every day. Each day you choose when to wake up, what to eat, how much work you do, how much money you spend or save, how you talk to your children, how willing you are to learn. These are the choices that determine your life, and you make them every day.

Everything you do is a choice -- an opportunity, that you cannot escape, to build your life. What that life becomes is entirely up to you.
-- Ralph Marston

Why is Scottie listed ahead of me if we are tied. I'm making improvement while Scottie is going in the opposite direction. The same applies to Keith and Joy.College boy needs to go to football predicting class.
