PACKERS & REDSKINS PLAYOFF HOPES TO AN END

Two teams who entered the 2008 season with high hopes of making the playoffs the Green Bay Packers & the Washington Redskins will now be watching from home after yesterdays debacles.  The Green Bay Packers lost to Houston 24-21, the Packers again played well enough to win but a late turnover in the game and the defense who can't stop anybody in the final minutes of a game did the Packers in yesterday.  The Redskins on the other hand just can't move the football, the defense usually play well enough to win but the offense just puts them in a bind by giving the other team a short filed or they are just on the field to long because of the inability of the offense to get a 1st down.  Two teams with hopes that will be at home for this years playoffs.  My PAIN index is up again this morning after playing basketball again last night and believe it or not wrapping Christmas presents over the weekend.  I seemed to have pulled something in my shoulder & back wrapping presents Saturday.  I see Scott spared no expense on this years Christmas card, at least the card is big enough so you can read everything on it.  MICKEY

"Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out." ~ Robert Collier

People who exercise regularly enjoy improved sleep quality. They fall asleep more quickly, sleep more deeply, awaken less often, and sleep longer.

DID YOU KNOW
A cat purrs at he same rate as a diesel motor.

After depleting your energy stores with exercise, you need to refuel if you expect your body to recover, repair tissues, get stronger and be ready for the next challenge. This is even more important if you are performing endurance exercise day after day or trying to build muscle. Ideally, you should try to eat within 60 minutes of the end of your workout and make sure you include some high-quality protein and complex carbohydrate.
