BEACH RAINED OUT

Well everyone was ready to hit the beach yesterday afternoon however mother nature had plans of her own. It started raining early yesterday morning and it rained pretty much to around supper time before stopping, so allot of the group decided to go shopping but me & dad decided we would just stay at home. We went to the Dare Devil Pizzeria for supper last night and it was the first time I had been there in there in years, I thought the pizza was pretty good and it wasn't to expensive either. After supper many of us did a little sight seeing and we road over to Manteo, some of us in the group hadn't been there for years. Then later in the evening we went to play put put( except mom & dad) at Jurassic Put, Al won followed by your blogmaster a close 2nd, then Julianne, Amanda, Donna and Jacob. I did have the most hole in ones though. The weather isn't looking to promising today either. In some Nascar news Tony Stewart will be leaving Joe Gibbs Racing to go racing for a team he will become co owner of Haas CNC Racing, it appears they will change there name to something else next year. If all reports are correct Ryan Newman will be joining him there next year as well. It appears that numerous other drivers will be on the move as well for a numerous of reasons, the biggest reason effecting many teams is the bad economy and not being able to find sponsorship. In Appomattox League baseball action CH won the 1st game of a DH last night before the rains came, game 2 will be made up on Friday night. No my ear isn't better. MICKEY

If the water didn't help with your headache, try rubbing a drop of peppermint oil on your temples. Studies show that it is as effective as taking acetaminophen, and much healthier for you.

Gather the small opportunities
Quick success is nice when it comes. However, slow and steady success is even better, because it is repeatable, robust and sustainable.

Overnight success almost never happens. And in the rare event when it does happen, there's a dreadful fear that it will disappear as quickly as it appeared.

Slow success is confident, lasting success. Success earned over time is success that you can genuinely enjoy, appreciate and continue to build upon.

Instant success depends upon being at exactly the right place at precisely the right time. Slow success, on the other hand, makes a small yet significant opportunity out of each moment and every situation.

Instead of wishing for immediate results, work patiently for the more realistic, reliable and valuable results that can only come with time and commitment. Steadily spread your success over time, and it will always be yours.

Every minute of every day there is a way to be slowly and steadily successful. Gather the small opportunities as they come, and the rewards will be great indeed.
