COLONIALS WIN, GADES ON THE ROAD

The Colonial Heights girls basketball team picked up another district win last night knocking off Hopewell 65-35, the Colonials lead this one all the way and were never threatened by Hopewell. CH's #1 fan Andrew was also in attendance along with a few other fellow bloggers. The CH boys basketball team will be in action at home tonight against Hopewell as well, the Colonials will be looking for an upset win. The Richmond Renegades will be on the road this weekend, tonight the Gades will be in Knoxville and then they will take the bust over to Columbus, the Gades will be back home next Friday night. Fellow blogger Keith will be heading back home from New Jersey tonight after another tough week of government work. My PAIN index remains up this morning because I think something bit me on my right shoulder and I don't know what it was and my side is still a bit sore as well. MICKEY

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

DID YOU KNOW
A mile on the ocean and a mile on land are not the same distance. On the ocean, a nautical mile measures 6,080 feet. A land or statute mile is 5,280 feet.

DID YOU KNOW
Fifty-four percent of the adult population in the United States drinks coffee every day.

Short Term Stress Relief
Find some stress relievers that can calm your stress response in the short term. You may not even realize it if your fight-or-flight response has been triggered and you've been in 'stress mode' for quite a while, but this can lead to chronic stress, and can take a heavy physical toll. Try some quick stress relievers to reverse this stress response, and you'll be better able to take additional steps to relieve stress. You'll also feel better.

Continued success
When momentum is on your side, use it. When you're going strong, keep going and become even stronger.
Don't let your success stop you from continuing to succeed. Before the goal is accomplished, have another goal ready and waiting to take its place.

Each accomplishment opens the door to many more opportunities. Each success paves the way for even greater success.

When the job is done, celebrate the victory by setting your sights even higher. You've firmly established a positive pattern, so keep it going and improve upon it.

The value you've just created can now be put to productive use. Just imagine what is now possible.

Great accomplishments are built from small successes. Keep the momentum going, and there's no limit to what you can achieve.
