VIRGINIA EMBARRASSED ON HOMECOMING

The UVA football team was embarrassed yesterday on homecoming by the Western Michigan Broncos 17-10. I just don't know how a team can get so bad so fast, there is no excuse for Virginia to lose to Western Michigan at home. The first thing they need to do is to decide who is going to play QB, the offense doesn't seem to have any rythm and if you keep going from QB to QB it isn't going to get any better. I know the fans are growing restless with Coach Groh and all of his antics and his approach to the way he handles his players and the media. I am glad that I didn't go to that game yesterday and it looks like it is going to be a very long year for UVA this year. I did go down to East Carolina yesterday and I have to say at the half it wasn't looking to good for ECU down 20-7 to Memphis and yes the fans were getting a bit disgruntled. Then they kicked it off for the second half and it looked like East Carolina had picked up some new players at the break, the Pirates scored 28 unanswered points in the second half enroute to a 35-20 victory over Memphis and all the home fans went home happy. Next up for ECU is a home game against the West Virginia Mountaineers next saturday at 4:30pm on ESPN2. The Georgia Bulldogs continued there winning ways yesterday beating the UAB Blazers 34-0, the Bulldogs have looked pretty good all year. There were a few big upsets yesterday in college football but the biggest had to be the way Michigan beat Notre Dame 47-21, they dominated the Irish and the other big upset was Clemson beating Florida St 27-20. It looks like to me Virginia Tech is the best team in the ACC right now. Today in the NFL the New Orleans visits Green Bay, lets hope the Packers can score today and Redskins visit Dallas tonight in a gam both teams need to win, the Redskins are banged up so they could have pretty rough time in Dallas tonight. The first race of the chase is today at New Hampshire, I will be rooting for Hamlin and Earnhardt Jr. MICKEY
