MOM HAS BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER

Well after looking at computers for several months mom has bought a new computer. It has the biggest monitor that I have ever seen on a computer and is almost to big for the computer table but I think it will fit. I think she is going to move it to it's permanent spot today, right now it is just set up in the den. My knee is still a bit sore this morning but it doesn't appear to be as sore as it was yesterday, after thinking about it for a while I think I injured it riding my bike over to First Flight High School to run on the track. When riding over there my feet fell of the peddles several times because it was so wet and I think I may have extended a way that it shouldn't have gone. At work I stayed in the warehouse yesterday and no I didn't hit my head on anything. MICKEY

It is always easier to prevent than to treat. Here’s how to boost your immune system:

Fear of the flu might be your best motivation to cut down on stress levels. Stress causes a great deal of physiological damage to your internal organs, particularly, your immune system. Situations that make you angry and aggravated are really not worth getting sick over.

Alkalinizing foods are anti-inflammatory. Fruits and vegetables contain powerful anti-oxidants to boost the immune system to prevent chronic inflammation. To shift the diet in the direction of alkalinity, switch to:
* Fish, chicken, veal and lamb
* Fruits and vegetables – nine servings a day (a serving is the size of a fist)
* Whole grains like: Brown rice, quinoa, millet, spelt and kamut
* Raw nuts like almonds and walnuts
* Green tea
* Cold pressed olive oil
* Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins and aid cellular metabolism

Health Tip: Stay Awake on the Road
The council offers these additional suggestions to avoid drowsy driving:

-Get plenty of sleep before your trip. Stick to a regular sleep schedule.
-Try not to drive between midnight and 6 a.m.
-Try to take long trips with someone else, and switch drivers regularly.
-Get on the road early in the day, and keep the car nice and cool to help you stay awake.
-Make frequent stops -- about every 100 miles or two hours. Walk around, get a little exercise or have a snack.
-Practice good driving posture -- head up, shoulders back and knees bent at about a 45-degree angle -- to help you stay awake.
