VIRGINIA UPSETS CLEMSON, KENSETH WINS DAYTONA 500

The Virginia Cavaliers upset the Clemson Tigers 85-81 in OT yesterday at the John Paul Jones Arena, the Cavs lead by 8 at the half and were able to hold in get a big win. Next up for the Cavaliers is there arch rivals Virginia Tech at home on Wed night. Matt Kenseth held off Kevin Harvick to win the rain shortened Daytona 500 yesterday, the race wasn't without controversy though win fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. turned Brian Vickers after Vickers cut him off on the backstretch causing a multi car accident. He said he didn't do it on purpose but most of the announcers on the telecast and myself believe he did, he was a bit frustrated with his performance. Well high school baseball practice start 1 week from today and it appears all that warm weather from last week is long gone. Also today it President's Day so all government employees are off again and all the teachers & students will join them as well, me & Al will be working as usual. My PAIN index is up this morning because I have sore muscle in my back and my left arm is a bit sore as well. Also fellow blogger Keith will be leaving later today for Huntsville, Alabama for a little bit of government work. MICKEY

What Is a Comorbid Condition?
The term "comorbid condition" is a medical term you will run into often when reading about medical studies and multiple chronic conditions. It sounds very serious but what exactly is a comorbid condition?

A comorbid condition refers to one or more diseases or conditions that occur together with the primary condition. Using rheumatoid arthritis as an example -- there are comorbid conditions associated with the disease that are non-articular manifestations (conditions that affect soft tissue rather than joints) occurring with higher frequency than would be expected in the normal population. According to rheumatologist Raymond Federman MD, "These include such conditions as subcutaneous nodules, vasculitis, neuritis, Sjogren's syndrome and Felty's syndrome. Although these conditions are not found in all rheumatoid arthritis patients, when present, they may influence treatment."
Comorbid conditions can include diseases and conditions other than just arthritis-related conditions though -- it can refer to arthritis and diabetes, arthritis and heart disease, arthritis and cancer -- any conditions which occur together.
