COLONIALS BASKETBALL SEASONS COME TO AN END, RENEGADES LOSE

Well basketball season ended last night for both the Colonial Heights girls and boys teams at the hands of Petersburg. The CH girls team lost to the Crimson Wave 61-21 while the CH boys team fell to Petersburg 82-42. The top 4 seeds in both girls and boys advanced in Central District. The Richmond Renegades were hammered by Fayetteville last night 7-3, it was a close game for 2 periods before the FireAntz blew out the Gades in the 3rd period. Tonight in college basketball action the Virginia Cavaliers look to win there 2nd straight ACC game when Virginia Tech comes to town, Andrew says Virginia will win. Also tonight Delaware will be at VCU, Delaware has already beat VCU once this year. My PAIN index remains elevated this morning because by left eye is itching like crazy and I don't know why, it is also watering a little as well and I keep rubbing it which is not helping the situation. It looks like it is going to be a cool rainy day here in Colonial Heights. MICKEY

Perception Affects Anger and Stress
Certain events often trigger anger or stress in many people, but the degree of anger or stress that is experienced has to do with how a person perceives and interprets what is happening to them. For example, two people can be cut off in traffic. One person might interpret the gesture as a lack of respect, a threat to physical safety or a hostile gesture, and get angry. Another person may figure that the offending driver may not have seen them, or might be wrapped up in their own thoughts, and let the event roll off their back. In both cases, there was a stimulus, a belief, and a response; the belief, or interpretation, of the stimulus is what led to the different responses.
