VIRGINIA & GEORGIA LOSE GAMES THEY SHOULD HAVE WON, ECU ALSO FALLS

Well it was like BLACK SATURDAY for the college football teams that I root for yesterday. I go the UVA game and the Cavs are leading 20-0 at the half before the wheels fell off the bus in the 3rd quarter on a muffed punt and from there on out I new Virginia was in trouble. They did come back at the end of the game on a nice pass play but were unable to get the 2 point conversion thus falling to Maryland 28-26. Georgia had a similar fate yesterday falling to Vanderbilt 24-22, Georgia lead by 10 points before Vandy started to make the game very interesting on there way to an upset victory over Georgia. At ECU is sounded like the Pirates had a very tough time with Tulsa losing 31-10, the Tulsa defense held ECU in check most of the day. Today the Redskins will play the Titans and the Packers can't lose because they are not playing today. The Detroit Tigers completed a 4 game sweep of the A's yesterday beating the A's on there final at bat 6-3, the Tigers will represent the AL in the World Series. The Cardinals now have 2-1 lead in the NL series after beating the Mets 5-0, the Cards seem to have the momentum right now in that series. Kasey Kahne won last nights Nextel Cup race at the Lowe's Motor Speeway, Jeff Burton continues to lead the points race by 45 over Matt Kenseth and 89 over Kevin Harvick. Next Sunday the new Richmond Renegades will have the only home pre-season game at the RC at 1pm getting ready for the start of there season the following weekend. MICKEY

It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow.
