COLONIALS SEASON COMES TO AN END

The CH Colonials season came to an end last night against Matoaca with the Warriors defeating the Colonials 8-3. We hit the ball fairly well but Matoaca just played a better all around game than we did. It was pretty good season for the Colonials with allot of ups and downs, the Colonials finish the season with a 13-8 record. In the other game in the CD tournament Prince George defeated Dinwiddie 8-7 and with the win PG also advances to the next weeks regionals. In soccer the CH girls team lost in a shootout 2-1 to Hopewell, I think the boys team also lost but I don't know the score of that game. Andrews LL team will be back in action tonight at 7:30pm against the A's at Ironbridge Park. Also I am helping out with the CH Appomatox League team and we have already started practice for that and our 1st game will be on June 19 and Lee is also on that team. MICKEY

In retrospect, I felt we should have beat Bird and Meadowbrook. The other games we lost , the opponent did not beAT US. gOOD SEASONS CAN ALWAYS BE BETTER. tHE TEAM OVERALL WAS A JOY TO WORK WITH DESPITE OUR UPS AND DOWNS. wITH ABOUT 4 ADDITIONS THAT CAN COME IN AND DO THE JOB AND MEET EXPECTATIONS , THE COLONIALS WILL BE BETTER NEXT YEAR.
