HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOY, COLONIAL HEIGHTS VISITS THOMAS DALE

Well today is Joy's birthday and she is ?? years old today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOY, why don't you just take the day off for your birthday. The Colonial Heights Colonials will visit the "Evil Empire" Thomas Dale this afternoon at 4:30pm, TD is ranked #2 in the latest coaches poll that was released last night. It is going to be a very nice day for baseball today with a high of 80 expected. The CH girls softball and boys soccer team will also visit TD while the CH girls soccer team will be at home against TD. We went out to see Andrews team play last night and the lost a tough one 12-11, Andrew had 1 hit in the game and also had a couple of walks as well. Andrew's next scheduled game is on May 14 but they may have a makeup game before then, maybe Keith can update us on the schedule. My PAIN index has gone up some this morning because mt right foot is a bit sore and my right shoulder is also a bit tender this morning. MICKEY

In baseball, my theory is to strive for consistency, not to worry about the numbers. If you dwell on statistics you get shortsighted, if you aim for consistency, the numbers will be there at the end.

Health Tip: Facts About Hay Fever
Hay fever is the medical term for a pollen allergy, and may also be called seasonal allergic rhinitis or pollinosis.

Here are other facts about hay fever, including suggestions to reduce symptoms, courtesy of the American Lung Association:

* Symptoms often include congestion, red and watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes and ears.
* Many people who have hay fever develop asthma.
* Hay fever is more common during certain times of the year in different regions, depending on seasonal pollen counts in those areas.
* Symptoms may be reduced by limiting exposure to the outdoors. Use air conditioning and air-purifying devices, stay inside, and wear a dust mask if you have to be outside.
* Antihistamines and decongestant medications can help control symptoms.

What's now
Before you rush away from this moment, take a look around and see its beauty. Instead of worrying about what's next, see the immense value that's already yours in what's now.

Savor the time you're in and the place where you are. Appreciate all that you have instead of being obsessed with how to get more.

You are already wealthy beyond all measure. Open your eyes to now, open your heart to purpose, and experience in rich detail the miracle that is your life.

There's nothing to be gained by racing furiously away from this moment in search of more. Instead, put your energy into accepting all that is and you'll find it is more than enough.

Put your focus, care, love, attention, interest, curiosity, purpose and passion into where you are right now. This is your time and place to live, to achieve, to feel, to learn and to experience.

Everything you are, you are right now. Be here and live the richness.
