COLONIALS SEASON COMES TO AN ENDS, DAD RETIRES AS COACH

The Colonial Heights Colonials baseball season came to a crashing end last night at the hands of Matoaca 17-2. Matoaca hit 4 HR'S and scored 10 runs in the 1st inning last night. It just wasn't a good night for the Colonials. After the game ended dad announced he has retired from coaching. The Colonials ends the season with an overall record of 11-9 and 77 in the CD. The TD Knights ended there regular season yesterday sweeping a DH from Hopewell, with the wins Thomas Dale finishes the regular season with 18-2 record overall and 13-1 record in the CD. TD will play Prince George in CD baseball tournament next week. The CH boys soccer team beat Matoaca 1-0 last night and CH girls soccer team will play at Matoaca tonight, both CH girls and boys soccer teams will play in CD tournament next week. My PAIN index will likely improve over the next couple of weeks as my arm will get some much needed rest before Appomattox League practice starts. It looks like we might get some rain showers later today and Friday before the weekend, however the weekend looks like it is going to be fairly dry with highs in the 70's. MICKEY

If one advances confidently in the direction ofhis dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

WHY GOD MADE TEACHERS..

God understood our thirst for
knowledge, and our need to be led
by someone wiser;
He needed a heart of compassion,
of encouragement, and patience;
Someone who would accept
the challenge regardless of the
opposition;
Someone who could see potential
and believe in the best in others . . .
So He made Teachers
