OLD MAN WINTER MAKES A RETURN VISIT TO COLONIAL HEIGHTS

It looks like Old Man Winter will make a return visit to Colonial Heights the next couple of days. The next two days the temperature won't even make it out of the mid 30's and a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for tonight into Friday morning. The NWS thinks it might start as a little light snow, then change to sleet & freezing rain before it turns to all rain sometime Friday. It looks like it is a good thing that we didn't start baseball practice this week, it does look like the temps next week will be in the 50's next week when practice does start. I know there allot of people who want this inclement weather so they don't have to go to work or go to school but I am not one of them. The VCU Rams beat Northeastern last night 66-62, it wasn't pretty but a win is a win. Tonight the Virginia Cavaliers will be in Scott's state to face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the Cavs will try extend there winning streak to two games. College baseball starts tomorrow for all Division I schools, Divisions II & III have already started playing. MICKEY

If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?”

Health Tip: Grinding Your Teeth?
Frequent grinding of the teeth is a condition known as bruxism. Depending on severity, it could cause anything from pain and discomfort to fractures of the teeth.

Here's more information about bruxism, courtesy of the American Dental Association:

* Bruxism may involve clenching of the jaw as well as tooth grinding.
* Triggers may include stress, sleep problems, crooked or missing teeth, or anxiety.
* Symptoms can include headache, painful teeth and a sore jaw.
* Preventives may include a mouth guard to wear during sleep, muscle relaxants, and counseling to deal with stress.

Tired of nothing
It's certainly true that the effort necessary for accomplishment will make you tired. And yet the lack of any effort at all will surely bring on an even greater amount of weariness.

It's far better to be exhausted from focused effort than to be tired of doing nothing. After you've grown tired from productive effort, you can renew your energy with a little bit of rest and relaxation.

But when you're tired because of a lack of meaningful effort, that's a different story. No amount of rest can overcome such weariness.

What can overcome that kind of weariness? It will disappear as soon as you start to take purposeful, directed action.

Too much of anything will make you tired, especially too much of nothing. If you're going to be tired, then make sure you gain something valuable from it.

So go ahead, set your sights high, and do something truly useful and challenging with your time. You'll make yourself tired, and it will feel great.
