DRAPER LEADS COLONIALS PAST THOMAS DALE 3-1

Brett Draper went the distance on the mound just allowing 6 hits, striking out 10 and walking none as the Colonials beat the Thomas Dale Knights 3-0 in CD action yesterday. It was scoreless game until the bottom of the 5th inning when the Colonials were able to push 2 runs across the plate and 1 more in the bottom of the 6th en route to a 3-0 victory, Brett also helped his own cause offensively leading the Colonials with 2 hits. The Colonials are now off until Tuesday afternoon when we travel to Dinwiddie to play the Generals at 4:30pm. In other CD games Matoaca beat Meadowbrook 18-1 and Dinwiddie beat Hopewell 14-6. In other sports action at CHHS the Colonial softball team fell to Thomas Dale 6-3, the girls soccer team fell 3-0 to TD and boys soccer team fell 1-0 to TD. The Nascar Nextel Cup and Busch series will be racing at Talladega this weekend before coming to Richmond for weekends stop on the schedule. The UVA baseball team will pay host to Maryland looking to keep pace with UNC at the tope of there division in the ACC. I have posted a link below to some of the photos AL took at last nights game, I still have to add a few more photos to the album. MICKEY

there's really not such a thing as a good loss, but hopefully the soccer girls learned from their loss with dale yesterday. they still have nothing to hang their heads about!

It was a great game. It was good to see the boys play how they are capable of playing and play as a "TEAM"! Next - beat Dinwiddie! Go Colonials!

I agree with Tammy - they were a TEAM - you could tell the difference.

Al - you can see the tripping - and the results, just the roll on the ground!

Brett hung in there just like Matoaca!
