COLONIALS WIN 10-0, RENEGADES SEASON COMES TO AN END

The Colonial Heights Colonials baseball team defeated Petersburg yesterday 10-0 at the Shep. Phillip Griffith picked up the win on the mound for the Colonials and J.D. McCarty added a HR offensively for the Colonials. The Colonials are now 3-1 in the CD and 5-2 overall and will play at Prince George Thursday night. Also yesterday the Thomas Dale Knights upset the Matoaca Warriors 9-6, the Knights trailed 5-0 before rallying for the victory, another score from the CD had Dinwiddie beating Maedowbrook 7-4, there was no score to report from the Hopewell and Prince George game. The Richmond Renegades season came to an end last night when the Knoxville Ice Bears defeated the Gades 6-2, I have to say that the SPHL was more entertaining league that the UHL in which the Riverdogs played in last year. The Virginia Cavalier baseball was upset last night by VMI 5-2, UVA returns to ACC play this weekend at with a 3 game series with Duke. The pollen here in CH has really gotten pretty bad the last few days and I think it is going to get worst over the next few weeks, hopefully not but it looks like it. The weather is getting ready to take a turn to the cold side after todays high in the 70's the next four days it won't even make it to 60. MICKEY
