COLONIALS WIN A CLOSE ONE 3-2







The Colonial Heights Colonials baseball team picked up a 3-2 victory over Hopewell in CD action Tuesday. Phillip Griffith picked up the victory for the Colonials on the mound and Nathan Anger came on to closeout the victory in the late innings. Offensively the Colonials were lead by Nathan Anger and JD McCarty who had 2 hits a piece for the Colonials, the Colonials will play at Matoaca Thursday night. The only other score reported from CD baseball action yesterday was Thomas Dale 10 Petersburg 5. The CH girls soccer team picked up a 2-0 victory over Hopewell and Julianne did score one of the goals for the Colonials, the boys soccer also won 1-0 over Hopewell while the softball team fell to Hopewell 13-0. In college baseball action yesterday the Virginia Cavaliers defeated the Richmond Spiders 12-5. Former CH baseball player Andrew Holt was named not the all CIAA rookie team at 3rd base and is finalist for rookie of the year in the CIAA. In NHL playoff action the NY Rangers crushed the Atlanta Thrashers last night 7-0 to take a 3-0 series lead and can sweep the series with a victory tonight at Madison Square Garden. MICKEY
