COLONIALS WIN 14-1

The Colonial Heights Colonials defeated the Meadowbrook Monarchs 14-1 in 5 innings yesterday at Meadowbrook. Phillip Griffith picked up the victory for the Colonials on the mound just allowing 4 hits and offensively the Colonials were lead by Andrew Fontaine who was 3-3 and had 6 RBI'S. Next up for Colonials are the Thomas Dale Knights at home on Thursday night at 6pm. In other CD baseball games yesterday Thomas Dale beat Hopewell 10-0, Matoaca beat Petersburg 17-1 and Dinwiddie beat Prince George 9-1. The CH softaball team beat Meadowbrook 22-2 and the girls soccer beat Meadowbrook 5-0 and boys soccer team also beat Meadowbrook 1-0. The Virginia Cavaliers open a nine game home stand tonight when it faces James Madison, this weekend the Cavs will face Maryland in ACC action. Round 2 of the NHL playoffs starts tonight with New York Rangers playing the Buffalo Sabres in game 1 of there best of 7 series, GO RANGERS. It looks like we might get some much needed rain today, hopefully it will hold of until after baseball practice though. MICKEY
