HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007

I just thought I would wish all you fellow bloggers a HAPPY NEW YEAR. I have posted a photo of a couple of fellow bloggers bringing in the new year with some excitement. Mother nature had a few fireworks of her own this morning bringing in the new year with some strong winds and some rain, but the temperature is a mild 63 degrees this morning. Brett Favre may have played his last football game last night when the Packers beat the Bears 26-7, after the game they interviewed him and it sounded like he was giving his farewell speech, hopefully he will com back for one more year. The ACC is now 4-2 in bowl play this year with Miami beating Nevada last night 21-20, Ga Tech will play today against West Virginia. The Yellow Jackets will be without there starting QB who was ruled academically ineligible. I do understand that fellow blogger Scott is feeling much now and Georgia's win over Virginia Tech may have helped him feel better faster. Just a quick reminder Colonial Heights will reopen on Tuesday for all you blogger who may have forgot. MICKEY

Happy trails!
Daily walks relieve feelings of anxiety and depression, and increase feelings of enthusiasm and optimism. And that's not all. Daily walks also can help you boost your energy level, enhance your self-image, release tension, manage stress, and improve your ability to fall asleep quickly and sleep well.

1890 - The very first Tournament of Roses Parade was staged in Pasadena, California. Horse-drawn carriages decorated in flowers made up the parade.
1892 - Ellis Island opened this day to begin the processing of what would amount to more than 20 million immigrants to the United States.
1925 - The Four Horsemen of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame played together for the last time as the Irish downed Stanford (which apparently enjoyed losing in the Rose Bowl) 27-10.
1953 - A sad day in country music, as the legendary Hank Williams died at the young age of 29.
2000 - People the world over changed their calendars to 2000 with very few of the ‘Y2K’ computer glitches that had been predicted.
