COLONIALS WIN 5TH STRAIGHT, NASCAR CHAMP BENNY PARSONS PASSES AWAY

The Colonial Heights girls basketball team picked up it's 5th straight victory last night beating Thomas Dale 55-49, the Colonials didn't play there best game of the year but they did play well enough to get the victory. Next up for the Colonials girls team will will be a home game against Dinwiddie, the CH boys will host Thomas Dale tonight. The UVA basketball team picked up a much needed win in the ACC last night knocking off the Marylan Terrapins 103-91 at the JPJ Arena, that seems like the only place that the Cavs can win at. The Richmond Renegades will be back on home ice tonight when the Pee Dee Cyclones pay a visit, the Gades will be trying for there 3rd straight victory tonight. In some sad Nascar news from yesterday former Nascar champion and NBC commentator Benny Parsons passed away at the age of 65 from complications from cancer. I have enclosed a couple of photos of BP, he was the 1973 Nascar Winston Cup Champion. What a difference a day makes it is a cold 27 degrees this morning and it's going to struggle to get to 40 today. Also last night fellow blogger Gary and his family came by to see the Colonials play Thomas Dale. MICKEY
