VIRGINA FALLS TO MIAMI, RENEGADES NOW IN LAST PLACE

The Virginia Cavaliers fell to Miami Hurricanes yesterday in OT 27-17 in a game that the Cavaliers should have won. The Virginia defense played well all day but the offense struggled for the most part all day. The Cavs had plenty of chances to put this game away but didn't allowing Miami to hang around and eventually pick up the win. I think the player of the game for Virginia was the punter who pinned Miami inside the 10 at at least 3 times and maybe more. I have to say I am glad that I didn't go to the game because I would have been extremely frustrated. Speaking of being frustrated the Georgia Bulldogs should be after getting hammered by Florida 49-10, and just think I picked Georgia yesterday. How about the Texas Tech Red Raiders knocking off Texas last night 39-33, the Red Raiders looked good but I didn't pick em. As you can tell I didn't have the best of days picking yesterdays games, the new standings won't come out until Monday though because the East Carolina vs Central Florida game is tonight. In the NFL today Green Bay will be at Tennessee, the Titans are th only undefeated team left in the NFL, the Redskins will play Pittsburgh tomorrow night on Monday Night Football. Well the Renegades are now in last place after losing to Twin City last night 3-1, the same two teams will face off in Richmond this afternoon. The Gades won there 1st game of the year but have since dropped 3 straight. Kyle Busch won his 10th Nationwide race of season yesterday at Texas, the Sprint Cup Series will race there this afternoon. I have a very busy day ahead of me so let me go. MICKEY

Really winning
Even if you were able to prove yourself to be better than others, of what real value would it be to you? Real and lasting fulfillment comes not from pushing yourself away from others but rather from embracing them ever more closely.

Imagine the serenity and calm power of seeking not to prove yourself, but rather to express yourself in every moment with complete and total sincerity. Imagine the total release and effectiveness that can come from focusing on doing your best instead of worrying about who is best.

Those who feel they must prove themselves put themselves at a distinct disadvantage. Because in order to feel the need to prove, you must first assume that you're in some way inferior, and that there's something to be gained by being superior. Yet the most genuine winners have no need to create losers. The real winners in life are so strong that they pull everyone forward along with themselves.

If you can win only by making others lose, your strategy will eventually fail, because there will be no one left to be defeated. Seek instead to win by pulling others up, and there will be no end to the accomplishments you can reach.
