VETERANS DAY

Well today is Veteran's Day so don't forget to thank a Veteran for what he or she did for this country. My Pain index had gone down a bit this morning after going over 8 yesterday morning, I am still sore but just not quite as bad. I forgot to mention that the college basketball season kicked off last night with Duke and Georgia Southern picking up victories, most all Division I teams will have played at least 1 game by the end of the week. Well dad is well on his way decorating his 2nd Christmas tree, he hasn't finished up yet but he might today. Do any other fellow bloggers have there tree up yet. I haven't finished up my Christmas shopping yet but I getting there, there are still a few people out there that I don't have clue of what to get though so he who know what they might end up with. Speaking Christmas is the Georgia contingent going to make it up here this year? MICKEY

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Abraham Lincoln

Health Tip: Make Time for Breakfast
Your mother probably urged you to eat a healthy breakfast, noting it was the day's most important meal.

She was right, says the Nemours Foundation, which offers these suggestions on how to refuel your kids to begin their day:

* Keep your kitchen full of healthy, quick and easy breakfast choices.
* If morning time is at a premium, try to prepare for breakfast the night before. Set out dishes, prepare and cut up food, etc.
* Wake your family 10 minutes earlier than usual to allow time for breakfast.
* Encourage your child to help decide what to have for breakfast. The child can even help prepare it.
* Have on-the-go breakfast options ready for mornings when you're running late, including fresh fruit, yogurt, trail mix, and individual boxes of cereal.
* Pack a nutritious snack for your child if he or she isn't hungry first thing in the morning.
