TITANS STILL UNDEFEATED, RENGADES WIN

The Tennessee Titans improved to 8-0 on the season with a 19-16 win over the Packers yesterday, the Packers offense simply turned the ball over to many times yesterday. The Packer defense played well pretty much all day except in OT, it looks like to me the packers are about the 6th best team in the NFC. The Redskins will face the Steelers tonight on Monday Night Football. In college football action last night the East Carolina Pirates beat Central Florida 13-10 in OT. The new BCS standings came out yesterday and Alabama is #1 followed by Texas Tech, Penn State and Texas. The Richmond Renegades picked up a much needed victory yesterday edging the Twin City Cyclones 5-4, the Gades played pretty well for the most part and will be back at home on Friday night. Carl Edwards won again yesterday in Texas edging Jeff Gordon for the top spot, Jimmie Johnson continues to the lead th point standings by 106 points over Carl Edwards. There are only two races left in the season, next week the will be at Phoenix and then the will end the season the following week at Homestead. My PAIN index is still elevated a bit this morning because my left era and my right shoulder are bothering me. Don't forget that tomorrow is election day. MICKEY

Spend Less for Convenience
If you find you eat fast food regularly because you don't have time to cook, try to find some packaged convenience dinners that you like and keep them stocked in the freezer. The quality of convenience dinners has improved, tend to cost half what a meal at a fast food restaurant and can be even cheaper if you use a coupon or buy on sale.

AN AMAZING FACT
Smelling bananas and/or green apples (smelling, not eating) can help you lose weight!

Tips for Athletes - Prevent MRSA Infection
Practicing good personal hygiene is the best way to avoid getting a CA-MRSA infection. Other recommendations for athletes include:

* Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water
* Keep any wounds, cuts or abrasions clean and covered
* If a wound cannot be covered adequately, a player should not participate in contact sports
* Avoid contact with other athletes who have wounds
* Use pump soap dispensers with antibacterial soap and avoid bar soap
* Don't share towels, personal items, clothing or equipment
* Clean gym or sports equipment with disinfectant sprays before and after use
* Report any cuts or abrasions to the coach or team trainer and have them monitored as they help
* Pay attention to signs and symptoms of infection as listed above and see a doctor if healing is delayed
