COLONIALS HAVE THE DAY OFF

The Colonial Heights Colonials have the day off today because of a scheduling conflict with the private school state baseball tournament which is being held at Shepherd Stadium staring today. The Colonials were originally scheduled to play Meadowbrook at home today but that game was moved to the 1st game of the season because of conflict with the tournament. We are having to practice behind the high school the next two days. There are a couple of games in the CD that have playoff implications and they are Hopewell at Thomas Dale and Prince George at Dinwiddie. The CH girls and boys soccer teams are playing Meadowbrook at home today. I have posted a link below to the photos from Tuesdays baseball game with Matoaca that Al took below. The UVA baseball team opens up it's final series of the year today at Boston College, the Cavs have been struggling a bit lately and need to turn things around before the ACC and NCAA baseball tournaments. The Virginia State University baseball team plays tonight against Mt. Olive in the NCAA baseball Div II baseball tournament in Kinston, NC at 7pm. Well it looks like it is going to be a bit cooler the next couple of days with highs in the upper 60's before it starts to warm up for the weekend with highs in the low 80's by Sunday. MCIKEY
