NFL And Other

Well the rest of the tams in the NFL start play today, Green Bay is at Detroit-3 and Chicago is at Washington-5.5. I think it could be a long season for the Packers this year, there defense is still not very good and the offense isn't as strong as it used to be, but we do still have Favre and he can make a difference in allot of games. I think the Redskins will do better this year but I son't know if it will be good enough to get them in the plyoffs though. There were a couple of pretty big upsets in college yesterday with Iowa St beating Iowa 23-3 and Notre Dame defeating Michigan 17-10 at The Big House. In the ACC Va. Tech, Clemson, and Ga. Tech all won conference games, and BC and Fla. St won at of conference games, while Wake lost to Nebraska. ECU plays at Wake next week and after seeing Wake play twice now I think ECU might have shot to beat Wake. It looked like there for a while yesterday that Scott and Joy were going to have to go out and but USC visor hat to honor the old fottball coach, but GA pulled out a 17-15 win over South Carolina. It looked like the fans at Ga were concerned as well. I have posted a couple of photos from that game that the AP took. While Kurt Busch won the last race before the chase last night at RIR, and Ryan Newman got the final spot to get into the chase. E Sadler and Jeff Gordon didnt't make it. Well it looks like Hurricane Ophelia is making a turn towards to the OBX, they don't think it is going to strengthen to much more but the track they have it on now passes right over the OBX. I looked at a few cams from the OBX this morning and the Atlantic does look a little angry. MICKEY

Julianne and I got a personal escort to the infield to get to Al's car last night and on the way , Tony Stewart stopped and talked to the guy who was escorting us! Julianne could have reached out and touched him. We were the typical star-struck fans!
