VICKERS ON THE POLE AGAIN, WE WILL BE AT HOPEWELL TONIGHT

Brian Vickers will start from the pole again on this weeks Nascar race at the Chicagoland Speedway, Vickers edged out his teammate Scott Speed for the top spot for Saturday nights race. Our Appomattox League team will be back in action tonight at Hopewell, this will be our 5th and 6th games of the week, we have three games next week before the playoffs start the following week. I thought that this week would drag along coming off a week of vacation, however it has really flown by which is a good thing. My right foot is starting to feel a bit better from where I stepped on a rock the other day, it's not 100% but it is feeling better. MICKEY

Follow Your Doctor's Advice
If you're determined to exercise, ask your doctor for a list of activities you can do to stay active without injuring yourself further. He or she may be able to recommend a physical therapist to help you determine what exercises you can do to both heal your injury and strengthen the rest of your body.

TODAY IS
Don't Step on a Bee Day
Clerihew Day,
which is The birthday of Edmund Clerihew Bentley (1875-1956), inventor of the clerihew, has been designated "Clerihew Day" by the man's many followers. The clerihew, a wholly frivolous poetic form, is a four-line verse adhering to the rhyme scheme AABB. The first line consists of a personal name, while those that follow traditionally are, or purport to be, biographical in nature. Little, if any, attention is paid to meter.

Yes you can
Can you clear your mind of the distracting thoughts and focus completely on the task at hand? Yes, you can when you choose to do so.

Do you have the discipline required to keep yourself steadily moving toward the goals you've set. Of course, you always have just as much discipline as you wish to exercise.

Can you muster the commitment, persistence and strength necessary to see your endeavors through to completion? When your work resonates with your most authentic purpose, yes you can.

Are you ready to do what it takes to make your dreams a reality? For when you are truly ready, you most certainly can.

At any age, in any condition, whatever the circumstance, you can. You can bring to life the highest vision and purpose that is within you.

Yes, you know that you can. And this is the day to begin.
